Visitors
Residents can welcome visitors in their rooms providing they respect the peace and quiet of their neighbours. Visitors may enter the House only accompanied by their hosts. A visitor may announce their arrival to their host either by using the interphone at the House’s entrance or by going to the Reception. The resident must then go meet their visitor at the Reception area. Residents are responsible for the behaviour of their visitors.
Invited Persons
The House was not designed to welcome additional occupants on a regular basis or for long periods of time.
The hot water heaters, the number of kitchens, the common areas, etc., are designed to serve the needs of 160 people. A significantly higher occupancy would tax the resources of the house and all would feel the diminishing quality of life.
For these reasons, a resident cannot accommodate guests for more than 15 days per year.
Residents must go to the Reception to declare the arrival or intended arrival of anyone they wish to accommodate for one or more nights.
If an extra bed is needed, it can be reserved at this time.
Long-term residents have the option of obtaining, if available, an additional bed at the fixed price of 12 Euros for each of the two first nights and 6 Euros for each additional night.
The request for an additional bed must be made at least 48 hours in advance at the Reception (not including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). Even without an additional bed, the lodging of a guest costs 6 Euros per night. It is recommended that residents request an additional bed for their guests. Any damage to the beds will be deducted from the 100 Euro (rooms)/250 (studios, apartments) security deposit.
A short-stay resident may exceptionally receive a guest by first requesting permission from the Administration and on the condition that they will pay the difference between the rate for an individual room and a double room for the length of their guest’s stay.
Those residing in the large units can welcome visitors without additional fees.
Nevertheless, they must respect certain rules: to not go over the maximum number of people per unit (3 in the studios and 4 in the apartments), and to declare their guests to the Reception. Visits must not exceed 15 days.
